It's time to ease ourselves into the season ahead as the air is starting to feel a bit crisper and temperatures are a little cooler.  Autumn is the perfect time to give our homes a little refresh and welcome in the new season.

Choose a room that you really want to give a quick makeover to freshen it up.  Is it the hallway that never looks warm and inviting or tidy?  What would it benefit from? Decluttering the space, the addition of a smart console table and a little styling could go along way.

Follow these easy steps as we delve into a few tweaks here and there that you can put into action now.

Hallway

Panelling is very much in style at the moment and adds furnish and detailing.  If this is not an option, try a rich paint colour in this area.Table lamps, and a large backdrop mirror with some beautiful accessories will enhance this area.

A new paint colour is just the thing to really refresh your room.    You may have to get the paint colours out yourself at this stage as decorators are flat out at the moment.   • Change your rug and remember to go bigger if you can.
