Guest Bedroom Ready For Christmas
If you’re having friends or family stay over for Christmas, don’t panic, just keep reading for inspiration on on how to have your spare room ready for guests.
Keep It Simple
Like most guest rooms, they can turn into a dumping ground, so this is the first thing you will want to tackle. Clear the room out and get rid of things that don’t belong in there. This will let you see the space you have to work with.
The guest room is usually smaller than master bedroom so keeping furnishings simple and pared back will feel more relaxed.
If you fancy a new paint colour try a rich dark colour which creates a peaceful and cocoon effect to instantly relax your guests.
Furniture
If you don't have much by way of furniture in this room, there are ways to make good use of the space which won't break the bank.
No wardrobe? No problem, use a clothes rail for a stylish boutique style bedroom.
A sofa bed can offer a space to sit and relax before bedtime.
A simple nightstand, this can be a little side table if you don't have a bedside locker, just something big enough to hold a small table lamp, glass of water and a book.
Festive Accessories
Bedlinen
Beautiful bedlinen feels amazing and can only encourage a great night’s sleep. There are so many on offer at this time of year and to list a few of my favourites would be The White Company and Coze Linen.
Thoughtful Extras
If you really want to spoil them, create a welcoming atmosphere with some thoughtful extras.
Comfy slippers and a warm cosy bathrobe along with extra blankets and pillows in case they get cold.
Scented candles or diffusers in something Christmassy. I also like to have a carafe of water beside the bed, fresh towels and a basket of extras that includes, toothpaste a spare toothbrush and cotton pads just incase they forget to pack them.
